The perfect place to develop your short-form series
“Short-form series are an exercise in narrative efficiency.” Sullivan LePostec, Smash Cut Group Leader
MIDPOINT Smash Cut is a project-based program for creators of short-form series (episodes ranging from 1 to 20 minutes).
The training is designed to help participants to define series concept, outline pilot script and season and also train and explain the specifics of short-form series and the difference to long-form series in storytelling. Selected filmmakers will gain a deeper understanding of the creative aspects involved in the work, as well as insights into financing, and distribution strategies
Smash Cut offers expert lectures, intensive group works with as well as in-depth individual consultations with several guest tutors. The participants will also be actively writing during the workshop days, under the supervision of the tutors.
